Existing solutions such as classic wristbands may respond to the first observation but not to the second.
With my husband Frank who is an engineer, we looked for a way to find a more effective solution and invented the Edomedic wristband. This wristband uses the latest NFC (Near Field Communication) technology.
Like existing allergy wristbands, it identifies that my child is allergic. The real innovation is that all of the information regarding his allergy is immediately accessible: where his Epipen is (along with a quick tutorial on how to administer it), my phone number and other information that I have considered useful to share, are accessible to anyone who brings their smartphone near my son's wristband.
